Site Maple Field provides professional research and documentation services. Because our work involves immediate allocation of researcher time and encrypted document processing, refund terms differ from product-based businesses.
Deposit Refunds
Before work begins: If you cancel after signing a scope agreement but before we start document review, we refund 80% of your deposit. The remaining 20% covers administrative and scheduling costs.
After work begins: Deposits are non-refundable once research has commenced. “Research commenced” means we have opened, scanned, or indexed your submitted documents.
Full Engagement Refunds
Within 48 hours of deposit, before document submission: Full deposit refund upon written request.
After report delivery: No refunds. You may request one revision of factual errors within 14 days of delivery at no charge.
Partial Refunds
If we cannot complete an engagement due to insufficient documentation on your side (e.g., no records provided after repeated requests), we refund unworked hours minus a ₩300,000 administrative fee.
If we are unable to complete an engagement due to our own capacity constraints, we refund all fees paid.
Non-Refundable Items
- Supplementary address lookups already completed
- Supervised recovery sessions already conducted
- Rush delivery surcharges once work has started
- Third-party costs incurred on your behalf (courier, notarisation)
Cancellation and Rescheduling
Consultation calls: Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before the appointment. Late cancellations forfeit the call portion of your engagement fee.
Supervised sessions: Reschedule at least 48 hours in advance. One free reschedule permitted; subsequent reschedules incur ₩150,000.
No-Shows
If you do not attend a scheduled call or office session without 24 hours notice, that session is forfeited without refund.
Refund Process

- We confirm eligibility within 3 business days
- Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days to the original payment method
Disputes
If you disagree with a refund decision, reply to our determination email with additional context. We review once more within 5 business days. Unresolved disputes are subject to the governing law provisions in our Terms of Service.
